What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?
So many people helped me with planning my wedding. First and foremost my amazing wedding planner-Lindsay Dickinson of Lindsay Rachel Events. She was always available for me to email or call with even the most random of questions. My hubby was also actually very helpful, he even designed a lot of our wedding stationary-such as our save the dates, programs, and menus! I also, of course, had help and support from family, friends, and even co-workers. Everyone’s input really helped me, as I can be quite indecisive :)
What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?
I would say the most important aspect of my wedding, when deciding who to work with was I wanted to create a great atmosphere. I knew that SO much went into the atmosphere from the right lighting to the venue. But what I think truly made the atmosphere complete, is the amazing floral arrangements designed by Corrine Heck at Details Flowers and Photography-they were exactly as I had pictured!
What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?
I drew a lot of inspiration from blogs just like yours! I was constantly googling wedding blogs, wedding details, etc. I spent a lot of time on TheKnot, using their wedding timeline and reading about other brides’ weddings. I also became mildly obsessive with Pinterest… it truly guided my vision once I found it. Mostly I just wanted a beautiful spring wedding that was tastefully done and incorporated the Florida beach theme, as most of our guests came from out of town.
What was your favorite thing about your wedding?
My favorite thing about our wedding was just the way everything came together perfectly. All of my vendors had worked together previously and knew what they were doing. I am normally very nervous and have a lot of anxiety, but I was truly a stress free bride and could enjoy getting pampered the day of the wedding without worrying about everything.
What is your best piece of advice for other brides?
If I could give other brides advice, I would say utilize all the resources available to you when planning your wedding. There are so many ideas out there that you can draw inspiration from, there are blogs, forums, and websites dedicated to brides and helping them. Every bride can have a picture perfect wedding on any budget, just taking time to research can go a long way into making your wedding the most memorable day of your life!
I just can’t get over how beautiful the bride and her bridesmaids are! And those flowers? Just gorgeous! They really paid attention to all the details, and it all came together perfectly!
